From the Mountainous region of Mexico and Central America.   Approx size 12-14 long- sexes look alike, usually female is smaller and has a slightly shorter bill. These birds do eat a special diet for softbill birds and require fruit.  They can be tame and trained to do tricks, and can be affectionate.  They are active and do require a large cage, including perches that they can hop back and forth on.  This bird is a young baby a few months old.  They have a unique call.
